About the club

We are immensely proud of our Club. In many ways we are a traditional village cricket club; an important part of our local community and a meeting point for the people of many different backgrounds and interests that make up our membership and friends.

But we are also an ambitious and forward-thinking cricketing community that strives to create the best possible experience for all our players - girls and boys, men and women - from tiny tots, through juniors to our senior teams.

We are proud of the warmth of our welcome, and with the theme of welcome in mind, we do encourage new players of all age groups to consider making us your cricketing home. We have a large and enthusiastic Badgers group for ages 5-9 and a fun and successful junior set-up for ages 10-15.

Our senior 1stXI will compete in Division 1 of the Cherwell League and our 2nd XI in Division 3, while our 3rdXI and will be Division 5 of the Four Counties League and our Sunday 1stXI and 2ndXIs will compete in Divisions 1 and 6 of the Bedford Sunday Cricket League. We therefore cater for cricket at most levels of ability and, with six teams representing the club over a typical weekend, there are always opportunities for new players. If you are keen and capable, we have a place for you.

Our training is led by qualified coaches and focussed on the needs of individuals and teams. So if you are interested to join us, please send an email to director@brickhillcricket.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you. Glen Burrows, Chairman, Cricket Committee

Our Values

Great Brickhill Cricket Club prides itself on the warmth of the welcome it offers to everyone who visits the club. We take particular care to provide high quality catering and we aim to ensure that visiting teams and umpires enjoy their day with us.

This aspect of our club has been particularly recognised in 2017 by the Home Counties League (we were the only club in the League to score maximum points for Hospitality and Catering) As the Premier League Secretary wrote in recognising our achievement, "The way in which a club entertains and looks after visiting teams is an important aspect of the cricketing day and clearly, GBCC has acquitted itself very well in that regard."

Secondly, GBCC were the lead club in Division 2 in terms of Fair Play, and were just 0.01 points off the Fair Play winners in 2017, Henley CC, so second overall over both Divisions. As the League noted, "Once again, this reflects very well on the manner in which GBCC plays its cricket."

This is another good reason to make GBCC your cricketing home, and we aim to keep up the standard - and indeed to keep improving year on year.
